Are you needing to change the lock on your door? Don’t pay a locksmith to do the job, when it’s easy to do yourself. If you’re not confident with the manufacturer instructions, read our guidelines below just to make sure you’re on the right path.
- Unscrew the screws holding the door knobs to the base plate, then pull out the door knobs.
- Remove the screws which hold the faceplate and latch mechanism, then pull out the latch mechanism.
- Unscrew the screws in the strike plate, then remove and replace with the new strike plate.
- Place the new faceplate and locking mechanism, then screw in firmly. Also insert the exterior door knob, checking that the spindle turns.
- Insert the interior door knob and then screw firmly into place.
